Before getting into the results from the Sunday races, it is with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of one of our fellow racers and supporter, Conrad Gordon. No matter what he was battling, Conrad could be found in most recent years on his scooter in the pits, checking on his friends and comrades exchanging encouraging words and advice. At this time we do not have any details of services but will keep everyone updated as the information becomes available. Rest in Peace dear friend.
As the shake up continues in the points, Super Eliminator saw a door car take the win when Frank Berard of Johnsonville, NY defeated the dragster of Mike Rogers of Albany, NY. Stephen Canfield of Canterbury, CT lost in the semis.
Pro Eliminator racer Jason Hemingway of Ravena, NY defeated Wayne DeSantis of Stoughton, MA in the final. Chris Cuevas of Cheshire, MA lost in the semis.
The Motorcycle/ET class saw Lynn Major of Chittenango, NY finally exorcise the gremlins that have been plaguing him and took the victory over Tim Kelleher of Berne, NY. Ben Fish of Averill Park, NY lost in the semis.
In the Open trophy class, Ed Mig of Freehold, NY took top honors once again when he defeated Joseph Wilbur of Fort Edward, NY. John Aulisio of Pittsfield, MA lost in the semis.
Mark your calendars and plan your day for the final points event on the 2022 season when on Sunday, August 28, 2022, Gil’s Garage presents $2000 to win in Super and in Pro Eliminators.
