Billy Kirpens Jr & Bill Kirpens Sr, father and son celebrate in the winner's circle.
Saturday, September 25, 2021 was an impressive day for the first day of Cold Cash Gamblers racing especially for Billy Kirpens Jr who was on fire.
One race on the day was the completion of the NHRA.TV Challenge race from Wednesday, September 8, that left five competitors to return to run off for the special Wally trophy. Father and Son, Kirpens Jr and Kirpens Sr met in the final where son took the win in a double breakout. Win one on the day.
Billy Kirpens Jr. then met up with Jeff Andrews in the final of Sportsman where Kirpens took the win light for win number two.
Pro Eliminator was an almost repeat of the challenge race with a father and son final but father, Bill Kirpens Sr lost in the semi's while the match up with Billy Kirpens Jr. against Marc Simmler in the final gave Kirpens Jr win number three on the day in the challenge of the pick up trucks.
Denis LeBlanc drove his dragstser to the win in Super Eliminator over Mike Rogers with a reaction time advantage. Long time racer Mike Fitts lost in the semi-final.
Motorcycle/Sled Eliminator saw a Sunday regular, Bob Carlson against a Wednesday Night regular, Bob Bradley with Carlson taking the win.
Two other clubs joined in the day's racing with Northeast Super Street Association competing their season. Mike Falcone with the Mission Impossible car defeated Gary Federico in the final with Ray Butler losing in the semi-finall.
The NODRAMA crew clicked off another race date getting closer to the end of their season and points with two races yet to run. The day saw Richie DeGraff defeat Jeff Kraenzle in the final with Johon Seifert and Kevin O'Brien losing in the semi's.
