Whomever thought that between heat, humidity and thunderstorms we would actually get in a full day of racing at Lebanon Valley Dragway was right at least for Saturday. Fortunately. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 we were able to get in a full day of test and tune plus the 1/8 mile gamblers races and a Central Mass race.


In the Port-A-Tree 1/8 Mile Electronic Gamblers it was an all Connecticut semi an final. Bill Brown of East Haddam, CT defeated Tom Flemke, Jr. of East Hampton, CT. Jeff Tisdale of Glastonbury, CT lost in the semi’s.


Warren Wright, winner of Non-Electronic Port-A-Tree Gamblers

In the Port-A-Tree 1/8 Mile Non-Electronic Gamblers, Warren Wright of Salem, CT continued the Connecticut run when he defeated Dale Sheak of Ghent, NY. Rocco Saccone, Jr. was back in the seat and was defeated in the semi’s.




The Central Mass Drag Racers were back at the track and saw Jerry Ferguson of Spencer, MA in his Chevy Belair take down Greg LeBlanc of Marlboro, MA in his Chevelle. Dan Pickett of Holden, MA and Meredith Daigle of Spencer, MA finished in the semi-finals.

With the rain on Sunday, July 16, the races were cancelled for the weekend. The next event is Street night on Wednesday, July 19 with competition classes as well as open Test and Tune for street appearing vehicles with mufflers. Slicks are permitted. Weather is forecasted to be warm but clear for both ¼ mile and 1/8 mile runs with times or no time displayed. Join us when the gates open at 5pm-7:30pm with racing at 6pm and ends around 9:30pm. Entry fee is $20 to test and tune, $25 to join a racing category, and $15 to spectate.
