NODRAMA and Bikes In The Valley Beat the Heat and Rain to Get 'r Done

On Saturday, June 22, 2024 the weather was forecasted for rain and storms in the early afternoon so many decided to cut their loses and stay home. Little did they know that with a modified program, all of the races would get completed and winners crowned just before the skies opened up and gave the promised rainfall in the afternoon.

The Orient Express Bikes in the Valley turned out for their third event sponsored by K.B. Performance. With competition in the 9.2 and Below class, the Pro ET class and the Street Class, three different winners stood in the winner's circle.

In the Bikes in the Valley 9.2 class, Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY took the victory when he defeated Joe DePietro of East Hartford, CT. Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA finished in the semi-finals but his day was not over.

In the Bikes in the Valley Pro ET class Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA took top honors when he defeated Matt Gazaille of Putnam, CT. Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY tried to make it two finals on the day but finished in the semi-finals.

In Bikes in the Valley Street, Flloyd Appleby of Delmar, NY defeated Thomas Facauci of Mastic Beach, NY in the final. Zachary Schreckengost of Portland, CT and Larry Hoyt, Jr. of Elizaville, NY finished in the semi-finals.

Dr Jay's report on NODRAMA-

"Forecasts for rain, tornado's, and lightning, OH MY!

NODRAMA was in town for event #4 and, what an adventure it was. With the impending weather doom and gloom, we still managed to put 29 diehards on the ladder. Adding in an early start for first call, and quick round turnarounds all day, 5 rounds later, and in the earliest I have ever seen for a final round (1:25pm), we got it done. The sky opened up just as winner's circle photos were in the works. LVD management knows how to run the party!

Another first in NODRAMA history, an all FORD final, Coming out on top was Rich DiBonaventura (Torino) for the win and Jeff Currie (Mustang) taking the runner-up spot. With the win, and his consistent multi-round showings, Rich has been quietly moving up the ladder, landing in the number 3 spot. The story line to watch is the NODRAMA Young Gun Ritchie Evan DeGraff. Another deep round day, and moving into the targeted NUMBER 1, on top of the leader board. A legacy NODRAMA Championship story? Stay tuned...

NODRAMA has a normal break ahead and return for event #5 on July 13th. See you soon!"
