Let the 2024 Season Begin at Lebanon Valley

Welcome to 2024! This past weekend on Sunday, April 21, Lebanon Valley Dragway held the first open test and tune of the season along with a spectacular swap meet. Even though the temperatures were still frigid and the wind didn’t help, we would like to thank everyone who showed up.

So much has gone on over the winter months at the facility including new paving of the track from the starting line to past the quarter mile followed by re-prep of the track to prepare for this time of year.

New landscaping around the tower has opened up more parking for the starting line and emergency vehicles.

The fence has been removed from around the gazebo area. Please note this area is not meant for parking, so please do not park any vehicles in the grass area.

New roadways have been cut in and paved in the back field area increasing the parking areas available for trailers and pits parking.

Thank you to the volunteer work crew that showed up to help scrape the walls on the starting line to prepare them for a new coat of paint and general clean up of the facility from leaves and debris left from the winter.

The funny car on the pole in the gazebo area was removed in the fall and has had a facelift. Currently, the car is on the ground so everyone can see the masterful paint job before it is lifted back to its post in the air.

We have also been busy behind the scenes. The schedule is packed adding some new events as well as some returning events.

The NHRA Northeast Division race has returned to the fourth of July weekend this year with the alcohol funny cars and dragsters returning once again as well as sportsman racers from all over the US.

The spring and fall  Musclemania events return this year on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend respectively.

This year Lebanon Valley will host the NHRA Division 1 Bracket Finals in September which will bring the bracket racers from all over the Northeast Division to the track to crown champions in all the Bracket classes.

The Dover Reunion weekend this year will be held the last week in September. Cross your fingers for great weather for a weekend filled with nostalgia, friends and fun.

A reminder to all racers, check the schedule as there are track rentals on almost every Friday which opens the opportunity for racers to get more track time for a reasonable rate.

Watch the website at www.dragway.com for more information on special upcoming events. There’s not enough room here to list them all.
