Updated: May 30, 2023

Wayde Horton, winner of Sportsman ET

After a false start to the season with a rain out on the first night of Wednesday Street Night, Mother Nature blessed us with awesome weather on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY. Racers came out to compete in the Street Classes as well as participated in test and tune both on the eighth and quarter mile. Wednesdays are a great time to get some night racing experience on an prepped track on Wednesdays from now until the end of September.

The Sportsman class is a part of the Summit ET program and participants who wish to join the in the points program compete for a spot on the Lebanon Valley team at the Bracket Finals held in September at Numidia Dragway. Wayde Horton of Sand Lake, NY took home the trophy in Sportsman ET over Lou Hahn of Canaan, NY. Unfortunately, Billy Kirpens, Jr. ran into some technical difficulties and was unable to make the run in the semi-finals.

The Street Stick class is for those who have a manual transmission. The first winner of the season was Corey Dufel of Fort Johnson, NY with Michael St. Martin of Huntington, MA finishing with a runner-up. Zack Leavitt of New Lebanon, NY finished in the semi-finals.
