Lebanon Valley Dragway Beats the Rain....Again, on Wednesday Nite

As the final in the Sportsman ET class was pulling on the line on Wednesday, June 27, 2024, everyone was holding their breath. What would appear to be a pac-man on the radar had been approaching the track, and was beginning to close his chompers. Bottom line, we beat the weather and finished the night as showers began at the finish of the race night.

As a reminder, there will be no racing on Wednesday, July 3 as we prepare for the NHRA Northeast Division racers to invade the Valley for the July 4th weekend of racing. The next street night/open teset and tune will be on Wednesday, July 11 at 5:00pm.

Starting with the Sportsman ET class, the night was won by Ed Martelli of Schenectady, NY when he defeated Billy Kirpens, Jr. of Pittsfield, MA in the final round. Jim Schmidbauer of Albany and Jeff Andrews of Pittsfield, MA completed their evening in the semi-finals.

In Street Stick, Colby Pitcher of Morris, CT defeated Vince Berzal of Saugerties, NY in the final round. Zack Leavitt of New Lebanon, NY finished his evening in the semi-finals.

Pure Street Motorcycle saw a battle of the family in the final when Guy Gardner of Stuyvesant, NY defeated his son-in-law Chris Cunningham of Nassau, NY in the final. Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY and Rich Kopec of Cairo, NY finished in the semi-finals.

In Street Trophy, Anthony DePasquale of Valatie, NY defeated Zachary Klein of New Lebaon, NY in the final round.
