Last Minute Change of Schedule Leads to Great Day of Racing

Your eyes aren't playing tricks. Yes, that is track manager, Wayne Delmonte snapping some pictures.

Sunday, August 11, 2024 was to be the last day of the Dewzen Products Triple 10K races at Lebanon Valley Dragway, but with impending heavy rains and wind, it was decided in the middle of the week to move the race to September 14 & 15. Any thoughts of racing on Saturday were challenging because even with sunshine after the rain, the track may have been dry, but the pit area was still wet and muddy. So Sunday it was and the schedule was changed to add some 1/8 mile racing at the last minute.

Thanks to all those who jumped on the change of schedule and attended to race or test and tune. With classes in junior dragster, open trophy, non-electronic and electronic, the day turned out to be a great day of racing.

In junior dragster, Caroline Billetts of Rensselaer, NY defeated Mason Spinelli of Latham, NY in the final. Zoey Thorpe of Hollowville, NY finished her day in the semi-finals.

In Open Trophy, Brennan Cunningham of North Haven, CT defeated Erik Rauh of Rutland, MA in the final. Chuck Geroux of Greenwich, NY and Bob Briggs of Champlin, CT finished in the semi-finals.

In the Non-Electronic Gamblers, Warren Wright of Salem, CT defeated Michael Scribani of Cobleskill, NY. Tim Morris of Coluntown, CT and Jason Hemingway of Ravena, NY finished in the semi-finals.

In the Electronic Gamblers, Charlie Mule` of Yonkers, NY defeated Richie Hoffman of Coram, NY in the final. Michael Scribani of Cobleskill, NY who had entered both classes of non electronic and electronic finished his day in the semi-finals in the electronic class.
