Wednesday, August 28, 2024 was the final points night in all of the street classes as well as the King of the Track qualifier for the Sportsman Class. The Street classes will continue to compete on Wednesday nights as well as Test and Tune through the month of September so don't miss out on some fun side by side racing for the remainder of the 2024 season. The night also completed setting the Lebanon Valley team for the Bracket Finals which will be invading the Valley of Speed in September.
The Sportsman Class formally crowned the champion for 2024 this week. Billy Kirpens Jr of Pittsfield, MA not only solidified his championship but with his win over Nick Maynard of Schaghticoke, NY, he earned his place as a qualifier into the King of the Track race to be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Joe Coss of Burlington, CT finished his night in the semi-finals .
The final positions from the Sportsman class have now been set for Team Lebanon Valley for the bracket finals. They are Billy Kirpens, Jr, Nick Maynard, Joe Coss, Russ Wilber and Jim Schmidbauer.
Marc Faucher of Cheshire, MA took the win in Street Stick when he defeated Vince Berzal of Saugerties, NY in the final. Colby Pitcher of Morris, CT finished his night in the semi-finals. Dan Murphy of Oxford, CT took the top honors as the 2024 Street Stick Champion.
Kevin Manchester of Winsted, CT took the win in Pure Street Motorcycle when he defeated Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY. Adam Sheran of Blandford, MA finished his night in the semi-finals. Bob Bradley of Fort Edward, NY took the top honors as the 2024 Pure Street Motorcycle champion.
Tom McClurg of Hillsdale, NY took the win in Street Trophy when he defeated Joe Wilkinson of Averill Park, NY. Garry Daury of New Lebanon, NY and Rich Brown of East Hampton, MA finished their night in the semi-finals.
