Talk about a busy Saturday with gorgeous weather and lost of awesome side by side action with new winners, we had it at Lebanon Valley Dragway on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
A special 1/8 gamblers race series that was added for the purpose of providing the opportunity for racers to get their groove on the 1/8 mile instead of the quarter mile in preparation for the upcoming 10K race and the bracket finals which have been changed for this year to eighth mile, had the largest participation in both box and no box.
Gennaro DeSimone of Amenia, NY defeated Shane Shahinian of Ballston Spa, NY in the No Box Gamblers with Matt Viscione of Waterford, CT and Jim Schmidbauer of Albany, NY finishing in the semis.
Mark Beaton of Torrington, CT took on Grant Nichols, Sr. of Marlborough, CT in the final of the Box Gamblers with Neil Jamieson going out in the semis.
Central Mass celebrated a new winner when Wayne Stewart of Sutton, MA took on Jeff Bruso of Southbridge, MA and took the win. Chris Rice and Tim McHugh lost in the semis.
The Tri-9 Impalas took to the track with Bill DeBlasio of Huntington, MA defeating Jason Butler of New Castle, DE. Nicholas Butler tried to make it a family affair, but lost in the semis.
Bikes in the Valley had their points race leaving two more to go on the season. In the 9.2 Below class, Joe DePietro, a long time racer from East Hartford, CT at the Valley to a long awaited win over Ryan Beardsley of Derby, CT. Duke Huyck lost in the semis.
Jonathan Tisdale of Napanoch, NY defeated Matt Gazaille of Whitinsville, MA in the final of Bikes in the Valley Pro ET. Ryan Beardsley lost in the semis.
In a battle of the local guys, Bob Bradley of Ford Edward, NY defeated Scott Briggs of Johnsonville, NY. Duke Huyck of Valatie, NY and Scott Adams of Queensbury, NY lost in the semis.
