Attention Top Sportsman/Top Dragster racers: THIS SATURDAY 7/29/23 we will be having our $2000 to win TS/TD race sponsored by Brian Hansbury.
Here are some of the guidelines for those who are interesting in participating.
$40 at the gate for a tech card to the track $100 entry for the race paid to Derek Lobban, PRIOR TO THE FINAL TIME TRIAL. Gates open at 8AM, track time trials begin at 9AM. We will run in rotation with the other classes during the race day.
This race will be run on the 1/8 mile. ET Breaks are: 5.29 max ET for door cars; 4.99 max ET for dragsters
We will begin the race by awarding the potential bye based on reaction time. With the best R/T from the final TT getting the potential bye if there is one. Once we combine the door car / dragster groups, (get down to 1 in either group) if it’s not the final, we will do chip draw to determine pairings for the remainder of the race. Quicker dialed car will have lane choice.
If cars are nose to tail in the same lane, they will be paired with the quicker dialed car having lane choice.
Cars vs. Cars, Dragsters vs. Dragsters until 1 left, then all run until the final. If there is an odd number of entries, (Cars or Dragsters) the final vehicle will run the first in the next class.
Required safety gear will be consistent with dialed 1/8mi ET.
We also have our Snap-on Kyle sponsored prizes with a 51pc 3/8 ratchet set to the winner and a 16pc screwdriver set for runner-up.
Scottiewheels Racing $100 dollar bonus for the quickest door car AND $100 bonus for the quickest dragster in time trials.
Kenneth Moses for his contingency awards for winner and runner-up. $100 to win, $50 for runner-up if running Ken’s product. $100 to win / $50 runner-up gift certificates for services if not running Ken’s product.
Steve Canfield for choice of dragster or door car scoop to the best losing package.
Thank you to all of our sponsors. Let’s make sure we support them as they support us.
See you on Saturday. Let’s have some fun!
